Markus Bucher is a Partner, Leader of the Advisory business unit and a member of the Management Board and the Board of Directors in Switzerland.
Markus Bucher (born 1957), lic. oec. HSG and a Certified Accountant, joined the company in 1983. From his early days with us, he specialised in company valuations and value management, and has been in charge of the Valuation Group at PwC in Switzerland for many years now. In addition to extensive experience in company valuations, he also possesses specialist knowledge in areas such as the valuation of intangible assets (brands, patents, etc.) and valuations using real options. Over his many years in practice, Markus Bucher has been responsible for valuing many hundreds of companies, both national and international, private and listed, and thus has an enormous volume of experience.
In the year 2000, Markus Bucher became a member of the Advisory Leadership Team and the Swiss Oversight Board, and from 2000 to 2005 was a member of the Partner Admission Committee. He is also a member of the PwC International Valuation Group. In addition, he lectures on company valuation at various colleges, and often appears as a speaker at seminars.
