The systematic road to career success
A PwC apprenticeship in IT (specialising in systems technology) lasts four years, and will take you through the various functions of our in-house IT department. Youll start out in field support, where youll learn the basics of IT. After only a year youll get the chance to work on the customer service desk (telephone support for the whole of Switzerland), in server/network operation, and in systems administration (managing user accounts and data access). As your apprenticeship progresses youll also have more and more opportunities to get involved in projects run by our development units.
Once youve successfully completed your apprenticeship, youll be entitled to call yourself an IT Expert, an officially protected title that will open many doors in your professional life.
Your qualifications:
- You have completed all years of secondary school and achieved good grades
- You have a good understanding of maths and the ability to think logically and analytically
- You have a feel for abstract ideas and processes
- You're prepared to learn on a permanent basis
- You're interested in solving complex problems
- You're interested in computers and technology in general
- You're a hard-working, flexible team player
- You enjoy working with people
- You grasp things well and quickly
- You're prepared to take responsibility and put in an outstanding performance
- Your mother tongue is German or French, or you have a very good knowledge of German or French and a good knowledge of English
