Learning for the future

Hi! My name is Tipuna Tschabold, and I work for PwC in Berne. At the moment I'm in the second year of my commercial apprenticeship. I'd like to tell you something about my time at PwC:
- "There were celebrations the evening I got the news I'd been accepted! I was really looking forward to doing my commercial apprenticeship at a large company with an international network.
By August the time had finally come, and I was standing in the reception area at PwC Bern. I was overwhelmed by the size of the building and the modern technology I was given: my very own laptop for work.
Everyone there was very friendly towards me. Somebody was there to help whenever I had a problem, whether it had to do with my job or my schoolwork. I really like having contact with people, so having colleagues who were so ready to help was great. I really felt part of the team.
At the moment I'm working in Tax & Legal. Everything's very structured. Every piece of work is done carefully and accurately, from start to finish. This is precisely what I had expected from PwC. I'm really glad I chose the right place to do my apprenticeship.
I attend the Wirtschafts- und Kaderschule business school in Berne. They offer courses in all the subjects I need to help me do my job better. I can always apply what I've learnt immediately, whether it’s stuff I’ve been doing in accounting, or English (which is also our corporate language) or French (we occasionally have to deal with correspondence in French). My lecturers are always open and ready to help if I have questions on any of my subjects.
At the beginning the apprenticeship at PwC was something completely new for me. Now I've got used to it, and I wouldn't want to be working anywhere else. Every day at work and at school I learn something new that helps me progress. And every time, I look forward to using what I've learnt to tackle the challenges I'm going to face in my job."
