Switzerland is currently a favoured location amongst companies setting up tax-optimised centralised business models. At the end of 2011, PwC launched a survey to better understand the issues faced by these companies and their learnings from the process of setting up and running these regional HQs. The results of the survey have been summarised and interpreted in the comprehensive report.
The report provides messages for companies with existing Swiss HQs which are seeking to expand their scope, assure their sustainability or reduce costs, for companies planning to implement a centralised business model but also for the Swiss authorities.
Key topics in the report include the rationale for centralisation, the models selected, location selection criteria, challenges faced when establishing and running Swiss HQs and threats and future trends.
