How would you describe your experience starting at PwC?
Working in a pool of assistants as part of a dynamic team made me feel very welcome. My buddy gave me a great introduction and showed me how teams work at PwC.
What do you like most about your boss?
My boss is a great communicator. He gives very clear, precise information and instructions, which makes it easier for me to do the work properly and keep to deadlines. Right from the start I was fortunate to be able to work with different people partners, directors and managers. What Ive liked most is the trust that has immediately existed between us. For me the mutual respect shown by people at PwC, and the fact that were all on first name terms, are important aspects of the companys philosophy.
You joined PwC as a partner assistant in 1997. How has your area of responsibility changed in recent years?
I've been given many other additional responsibilities alongside the wide range of tasks for which I'm responsible as assistant to the managing partner in Bern. Now, in my role as deputy office manager, I'm involved in the organisation of various internal events, from regular lunch talks and management meetings to information events for staff. I also share responsibility for planning emergency scenarios and evacuation arrangements, which is a very varied and responsible job.
Why have you stayed with PwC for more than ten years?
I think it's exciting to work in an organisation that's constantly moving. It means you stay flexible yourself. Every day I get to work with great people whose dynamism and team spirit keep me motivated and moving forward.
