In Zusammenarbeit mit dem Institut für Accounting, Controlling und Auditing der Universität St.Gallen hat PwC Audit-Committee-Mitglieder von über 500 Unternehmen in der Schweiz befragt. Ziel der St. Galler Wissenschaftler sowie von PwC war es, einen detaillierten Einblick in die Arbeitsweise von Audit Committees zu erhalten. Dies ist mit der Umfrage gelungen: Sie enthält eine Fülle an Informationen und differenziert die Ergebnisse nach der Grösse der befragten Unternehmen und danach, ob diese an der Börse kotiert oder in privater Hand sind; bei ausgewählten Fragen nimmt die Erhebung die Praktiken der Audit Committees von Finanzinstituten gesondert unter die Lupe.

Good questions audit committee members should be asking

Audit committee will need to consider the implications of the current regulatory reform activities and the moderate recovery of the economy on a company’s year-end financial reporting. This document provides audit committees with a series of questions that may have particular importance for year-end and may be helpful as they prepare for discussions with management and the auditors. These questions should be considered with other questions the audit committee routinely asks management and the auditors at year-end.
