Working in Switzerland

Your prospects

Switzerland is a particularly attractive place for foreigners to work. Unemployment is lower than in most other European countries, and salaries and fringe benefits are well above average.

Since the abolition of rules on quotas for EU 15 and EFTA nationals in 2007, citizens of these countries no longer have to apply for a work permit. A residence permit is issued by the competent authority once confirmation of employment has been submitted.
