Together we solve. It’s time.
For PwC, corporate responsibility means a broad commitment to our employees, our business partners, our environment and the common good. We believe we can meet this commitment by creating a basis of give and take, of mutual respect and trust – and if all of us take responsibility on a daily basis as an enterprise, as managers, and as private individuals.
“Our Corporate Responsibility takes the PwC Experience beyond our normal business setting − to create value for society.”
Being a responsible business means managing our operations ethically and with integrity, and recognising that our responsibilities extend into our entire value chain. It’s more than just doing the right thing; it’s understanding that the most significant contribution we make to society is through the work we do day in, day out.Read more
The best value we can contribute to society is our knowledge and expertise. So we believe in sharing our skills and experience within the community.
This includes offering free or partially free audit and consulting services for social organisations. It also includes running corporate volunteering programmes. For example, PwC staff can mentor a social entrepreneur under our SEIF mentoring scheme, or can work with our partners YES and WiWo to spend a week in a school teaching kids about business and economics.
Offices also get involved in their local communities at events such as charity walks and street food festivals. PwC is a member of the Zürcher Spendenparlament (donation parliament). We also help people in need (i.e. humanitarian disaster response donations) through our fundraising platform, and foster a culture of philanthropy by granting paid leave for employee-initiated volunteering projects.Read more

Our environmental stewardship efforts are focused on reducing our carbon footprint. To do so we’ve set various reduction targets which we review and measure each year. Specific measures include building our offices according to Minergie sustainable construction standards, reducing and recycling waste on all PwC premises, and cutting down on travel by using technology such as online meeting tools.Read more
