Corporate Reporting: Investors’ focus’
A focus on corporate reporting from an investor’s perspective means taking an in-depth look at what investment professionals actually need from corporate reports in order to make their decisions. PwC has been engaging actively with the investment community for well over a decade now. As part of this, our Corporate Reporting events bring together business and investors to promote a better understanding of the reporting process and its deliverables.
You will find the detailed agenda and the summaries of the event presentations here.
The event materials from the 2017 event can be downloaded here.
You can also download the materials from the 2015 event here.
We are already planning the next event to be held on Tuesday, 25 September 2018. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org if you wish to receive an invitation.
We were particularly pleased to welcome Aswath Damodaran of New York University Stern School of Business as our keynote speaker this year. Professor Damodaran’s presentation covered some of the highlights from his book ‘Narrative and Numbers’ published this year. He argued that the power of a story drives corporate value and that a business can deliver and sustain value only if it knows how to combine both ‘storytelling’ and ‘number-crunching’. You can find a video of the same presentation he gave at our event here (please note that the link opens in an external website).
Once again, our latest event featured a selection of distinguished speakers who provided a wide range of perspectives. They include representatives from analysts, ratings agencies, regulators and preparers of corporate reports, including:
Simon Ainsworth, Moody’s
Sven Bucher, ZKB
Peter Burkhalter, Swisscom
Gavin Francis, HSBC
Marietta Miemietz, Primavenue
Ian Norris, Idorsia
Cornelia Ritz Bossicard, Valora board member
Christian Schacher, Baloise
Crispin Southgate, Institutional Investment Advisors and former member of Financial Stability Board Enhanced Disclosure Task Force
Andrea Weber, Bank J. Safra Sarasin
Reto Zemp, SIX Swiss Exchange
Once again, the feedback on this year's event was very positive:
