Head Sustainability & Strategic Regulatory, PwC Switzerland

Antonios Koumbarakis is driving the Sustainability and Strategic Regulatory team within PwC Switzerland. In this context, he advises financial institutions, corporates, regulatory authorities, central banks and governments in Switzerland, Europe, Asia and Middle East in the area of sustainable, circular finance and regulatory initiatives. He is leading several ESG transformation projects and is representative of PwC in several associations and working groups such as the SSF and SIF on sustainable finance.

Antonios holds a Master of Arts in economics (lic.rer.pol) from University of Fribourg (Switzerland), a PhD in Economics, and executive degrees from the London School of Economics, Cambridge, Barcelona GSE and Study Center Gerzensee. He was a Visiting Research Fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Research on Collective Goods in Bonn with a research focus in bank regulation and financial stability.

  • Central bank support (Greenness of Central Banking, Central Bank Digital Currency, Monetary Policy and Financial Stability)
