Chris Girling

Partner Cybersecurity & Privacy, PwC Switzerland

Chris is Partner Cybersecurity & Privacy and is part of the EMEA Financial Services Cybersecurity leadership team at PwC. Chris draws on 22 years of industry and consulting expertise. A key advisor to Boards, C-level executives, CISO’s and other technology leaders his experience spans the banking, insurance, chemicals and energy sectors. Chris specialises in cybersecurity, data management, and Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC).

Before joining PwC, Chris was the Deputy Group CISO at a Global Systemic Bank and engaged directly with regulators worldwide on cybersecurity topics. Chris also represented the European banking sector towards global regulators on behalf of trade associations in Switzerland, the UK and Europe and has driven the evolution of a number of key Cyber Resilience regulations and industry-wide exercises. Through his career Chris implemented technology and led projects to uplift all aspects of cybersecurity and resilience, from cutting edge innovations to cybersecurity strategy and cyber incident response.  

Chris is a passionate technologist, and enjoys helping organisations harness data and technololgy to grow in secure and resilient ways.
