Dr. Christian Westermann
Partner and AI Leader, PwC Switzerland
Christian Westermann is a Partner and AI Leader at PwC Switzerland, focusing on AI and technology-driven business transformation.
He started his career in software development and has worked in technology consulting since 2005, advising C‑level leaders at more than 20 multinational companies across Europe, the US, UK, Russia, the Middle East, Singapore and LATAM. His industry experience covers financial services as well as healthcare, pharma and industrial manufacturing. Christian combines strategic advisory and governance in AI & GenAI with hands-on implementation, delivery and scaling.
Before joining PwC Switzerland, he was Group Head of AI at Zurich Insurance, where he built and led a global team responsible to innovate, drive, develop and scale AI & GenAI use cases and platforms.
He holds a PhD in Physics with focus on Space Research from the University of Bern.
