Jens is a Partner in our Advisory practice, specialising in Operations strategies and large-scale operations transformations. He brings more than 20 years of combined industry (BASF) and consulting experience across Pharma and Life Sciences, Chemicals, Energy, Utilities, and Industrial Products. A trusted advisor to operations executives, he addresses various topics from strategy through execution, such as manufacturing network and CDMO strategies, Business-led tech transformations, AI strategies incl. Agentic enterprise and smart manufacturing, product supply of the future, commercial-fit supply operations, Sustainability in operations and CapEx Excellence. He has supported multiple large deals from pre-deal (ODDs) to post deal (PMI/Carve-out) execution, focusing on operations related topics.
Before transferring from PwC Strategy& Germany to PwC Switzerland in 2025, Jens held senior roles at PwC Strategy& (Germany), where he led the Pharma and Life Sciences Operations Strategy platform across GSA, as well as the Strategy& Düsseldorf office.
His most recent publications address topics such as oral GLP‑1, AI in operations, generative AI in industrial manufacturing, quality-focused studies, sustainability studies, and commercial‑fit supply operations.
Jens holds a degree in mechanical/chemical engineering from RWTH Aachen (Hons) and a PhD in process systems engineering from Imperial College London. He also received a one-year stipend at Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, PA.
