According to the Financial Services Act (FINSA), client advisors of either a non-Swiss financial service provider or a Swiss financial service provider that is not supervised by the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA) must be listed in a Swiss client advisor register.
Client advisors must complete a basic training course for their initial registration. After this initial registration, the registration must be renewed after 24 months at the latest. To renew the registration, client advisors must submit proof that they have refreshed their knowledge of the FINSA rules of conduct. This requirement is met by completing the FINSA Refresher Course for client advisors.
This certification is recognised by RegServices of BX Swiss AG and other client advisor registers.
The FINSA Refresher Course takes about 140 minutes and covers the following topics:
Participants in the FINSA Refresher Course can download the course material presented in the online course as a PDF and will receive a certificate immediately after completing the course. These certificates will be accepted by the client advisor registers as proof that the participant has refreshed their knowledge of the FINSA rules of conduct.
After payment has been made, the FINSA Refresher Course can easily be accessed worldwide and on any device 24 hours a day for two months. Several payment methods are supported by the training platform.
