PwC creates law firm of the future

Today, PwC Legal is redefining the traditional legal business offering with its law firm of the future. Broadening its core business, it can now provide access to its international legal network with two new offerings: a technology enabled platform for automated contracts in collaboration with PartnerVine and PwC’s Flexible Legal Resources which allow clients to customise legal workforce to their own needs in terms of timing, location, scale and experience of staff.

PwC Switzerland clear market leader; 17% growth in Advisory

PwC Switzerland increased its net fee revenue by 4% to CHF 733 million in the financial year 2016/17. The Advisory service line saw growth of 17%. This means that PwC Switzerland is still the clear market leader. In a challenging environment, the company has succeeded in strengthening the trust of its clients through its competence and quality of service.

FRIDAY sets new standards for insurers

Together with PwC and US software developer Guidewire, Berlin-based digital insurer FRIDAY has launched its platform for digital insurance products. The cloud-based core system allows innovative insurance solutions to be swiftly introduced on the market: the Basler Versicherungen subsidiary is thus setting new benchmarks for the sector’s digital solutions Europewide. The trio formed out of FRIDAY, Guidewire and PwC successfully completed the development and implementation of the platform in fewer than sixty days.

PwC Legal Switzerland has joined the Accord Project to contribute towards the development of a global, open source implementation for smart legal contracts. The Accord Project counts over 50 global law firms, standards bodies and trade associations among its members and collaborators.

Launch of SIX Digital Exchange – PwC instrumental in refining the vision and approach

Switzerland’s stock exchange owner SIX today announced the launch of a new digital asset exchange platform. The SIX Digital Exchange (SDX) will be the first market infrastructure in the world to offer a fully integrated end-to-end trading, settlement and custody service for digital assets. SIX trusted the services of PwC to refine their vision, the strategy, and the approach to initiate this milestone project.
