An interview with Richard Thomas and Alexandra Burns
Organisations are well advised to use an internal audit function to check just about any process or aspect of their business, to make sure it’s running as expected. You can choose precisely how you want us to work for you depending on your resources and requirements. We offer the entire spectrum of services from outsourcing and co-sourcing to internal audit advisory, whether you want specialists to come in and run checks on your behalf or need help with setting up your own internal audit teams.
The goal is an internal audit set-up that you and your stakeholders can trust, and which helps your organisation achieve its objectives reliably and with integrity, even in an environment of uncertainty.
You can choose precisely how you want us to work for you depending on your resources and requirements.
We support Boards, Audit Committees and Heads of Internal Audit by providing independent specialists to assess processes and related controls, identify risks and make hands-on recommendations to management for improvement.
Full outsourcing - PwC runs the client's Internal Audit function from A - Z (i.e. from audit planning, through execution and reporting to management and Board/Audit Committee)
Co-sourcing - PwC Internal Audit professionals and subject matter experts complement the client's Internal Audit team or perform selected audits (e.g. IT Audits, locations abroad)
We help Boards, Senior Management and Heads of Internal Audit set up an Internal Audit function or optimise the impact of an existing Internal Audit function. This transforms Internal Audit into a true support for the organisation to meet its objectives, making processes more effective, controls more reliable and ultimately increasing efficiency.
