1 Tell us about yourself and your role as a Mental Health First Aider

I’m Angela, a Director in Assurance at PwC Switzerland, leading teams and client engagements in a high-pressure environment. As a Mental Health First Aider, I’m a point of contact for colleagues who may be struggling. My role is to listen without judgment and guide them towards appropriate resources or professional help.

2 Can you describe a moment where you felt you made a real difference for a colleague?

I once noticed a colleague seemed more stressed and quieter than usual. I checked in with her privately and gave her time to talk about what was going on. She later said it helped to be listened to and to know someone cared.

3 Why do you think it's important for a workplace to have Mental Health First Aiders?

I believe it is important because work can be stressful, especially with constant pressure, fast-paced changes, and highly demanding environments. Mental Health First Aiders can help people feel supported, talk about problems, and find the right help when they need it.
