I have set myself rules that I make sure to apply:
Always stay open to new opportunities! The world we live in is constantly changing, and in each of these changes is an opportunity. I may be an optimist, but it is also a way to adapt to circumstances. If I’m working on a difficult project during a difficult time, I see this as a way to work on my resistance.
Do other things than just Audit, whether it is within PwC by participating in projects or other in-house events, or outside PwC. We live in a changing world and we have to keep up and continually learn new things.
Creating my own start-up! And leaving it…
When I created my own start-up, I conquered my fears and was forced to face the consequences. You have to give it all, to work hard, and you’ll learn a lot in return, especially about yourself and your capacity for perseverance.
Leaving the start-up taught me a lot of other things. We do not know everything. PwC brings me much more than I thought it would: a structure, the coaching skills, the flexibility. We have managers who are very open and who listen a lot to us, and we very quickly gain responsibility.
“Make a difference”: We are in an environment where we all have the chance to make an impact.
There is a shift in mindset, in behavior, in our work, in the company’s culture; and we are given the possibility to better adapt to situations. All levels of the hierarchy have a role to play in the changes that are coming.
Be yourself. Be unique. is our series broadcasting unique role models, sharing innovative ways of working and celebrating diversity within PwC Switzerland.
Our credo is: We give flexibility and expect it in return, so that we can create a win-win situation not only for our clients, but also for our employees and for PwC Switzerland.
