Financial Reporting Update 2026
About the event
Our next Financial Reporting Update events will take place in June across our PwC offices in Zurich, Basel and Bern. In Lausanne, it will be held at Edipresse Tower.
We will provide you with an update on current developments in financial reporting where we focus on new standards, amendments and interpretations as well as areas that regulators focus on. Further, we explore selected topics that often create challenges in practice.
You can register either for IFRS Accounting Standards (Zurich, Basel, Lausane) or Swiss GAAP FER (Zurich, Bern) presentations.
Following the presentations, we invite you for an Apéro, which offers an excellent opportunity to continue the discussion with our specialists and exchange views with other participants.

IFRS Accounting Standards
We will present you an update on recent developments from the IASB and the IFRS Interpretations Committee, address the SIX Exchange Regulation focus areas for 2026 and other topics from regulators. We will have a first glance at IFRS 20 ‘Regulatory Assets and Regulatory Liabilities’, cover practical application challenges including topics arising in the preparation for IFRS 18 ‘Presentation and Disclosure in Financial Statements’.

Swiss GAAP FER
We will give you a comprehensive overview of the revised FER 16 ‘Pension benefit obligations’ which comes into effect in 2027 and guide you through other changes to the standards. We will work through short case studies to share insights on practical accounting and reporting challenges, and look at the SIX Exchange Regulation focus areas for 2026.
