Breaking the Silence on Imposter Syndrome
I’d like to welcome you to the next Women of Treasury Networking Conference in Geneva! This time our theme will be: Breaking the Silence on Imposter Syndrome. The most capable people in the room are often the most convinced they don’t belong there. In this session we’ll talk about why, and what to do about it.
| 14:30 – 15:00 | Welcome Coffee and Networking |
| 15:00 – 15:30 | Leading Through Self-Doubt: Understanding and Overcoming Imposter Syndrome |
| 15:30 – 16:30 | Panel Discussion – Breaking the Silence on Imposter Syndrome – your peers discuss their experience with Imposter Syndrome |
| 16:30 – 17:00 | Treasurer Spotlight – Hear from a treasury leader on her successful journey on a global Treasury. |
| 17:00 – 19:00 | Apero and Networking |
Do you often have anxiety about feeling not good enough or worry about being “found out”? Are you held back from asking for promotion or taking on new projects because you think you’re not knowledgeable enough or don’t tick all the boxes? Then this is a conversation for you! Imposter syndrome is common – especially when you’re stretching yourself. They say 70% of people experience imposter syndrome, and the other 30% might not be paying attention. In this session we’ll explore what Imposter Syndrome is (spoiler alert – it’s not a diagnosis), where it is both helping and hurting you, and discuss how to overcome the challenges and open yourself up for more success.
We’ll also hear about one woman’s journey to success, what she faced, how she overcame, and what her day-to-day challenges are running a treasury organization. Representation matters, and these stories are inspiring!
Women of Treasury hosts all-female events aimed at creating a community of powerful and aspiring female Treasury professionals creating a platform for collaboration and the success of the ladies in our community.
