We also wanted to find out what companies are doing to increase their circular maturity – and which top practices promise the greatest progress in decoupling growth and resource intensity.

To gain a deeper understanding of the needs of companies to implement a circular business model, we sought the expertise of business professionals. To complement a study led in 2022 by PwC Germany, PwC Switzerland conducted a second survey with business professionals in Switzerland in early 2023. Our inquiry revolved around measures for companies to initiate and expedite the adoption of circular models that drive growth while minimising their resource footprint. We wanted to understand what it takes to implement a circular economy model in order to help companies put it into practice.
