Zurich, 26 November 2021 – At PwC Switzerland’s Partners Meeting, Sebastian di Paola was elected as new Chairman of the Board of Directors. Furthermore, the current CEO, Andreas Staubli, was re-elected. This is the second and last possible term of office for the CEO and the first of three possible terms for the Chairman of the Board of Directors.

A Chairman who is close to our clients
Sebastian di Paola joined PwC UK in 1991 and graduated as a Charted Accountant in 1994. He then worked for PwC Belgium, where he became a partner in 2001. Since 2007, Sebastian has been a partner at PwC Switzerland. Sebastian has over 20 years of experience in international leadership and governance roles. Alongside his duties as Chairman, he will remain active in client roles, including serving as Global Relationship Partner for key multinational clients. “With Sebastian as our new Chairman, PwC Switzerland’s partners have chosen a courageous and trustworthy leader who has vast experience of serving international clients and a strong network”, said Andreas Staubli.

Sebastian di Paola will succeed Stefan Räbsamen who will step down as Chairman on 30 June 2022.

Fit for the future thanks to courageous decisions
Andreas Staubli joined PwC Switzerland in 1994 as a tax advisor and was appointed partner six years later. From 2009 to 2017, he led the Tax and Legal Services practice at PwC Switzerland and has served as CEO since July 2018. Over the past four years, PwC Switzerland has undergone a transformation of its business model under Andreas Staubli’s leadership, which has shaped the firm and helped to expand its position as number one in the market. “By taking bold decisions, we have been able to position PwC Switzerland for a successful future”, explains Andreas Staubli.
