OneMed, a leading European distributor of medical supplies and healthcare related services based in Sweden, has entered into an agreement to acquire a majority stake in the Swiss distributor SMEDICO.
The Transaction Services and M&A Tax teams are pleased to announce that they have supported OneMed with buy-side due diligence support (financial and tax) as well as tax structuring advice. They were also closely involved in the SPA review. With this acquisition, OneMed's growth journey continues into a new market - Switzerland - and strengthens both their market presence and knowledge in product areas such as wound care, incontinence and orthopedics.
OneMed is active in nine countries, employs approx. 900 employees and generates annual net sales of more than EUR 500 million.
